Boston Plaza has the look and feel of your typical classy establishment. The room had a nice big comfy bed, big flat screen TV that had a good selection of channels as well as the facility to chrome cast apps like Netflix. The bathroom was nice with all the things you would expect from a quality hotel. We used it as a base to walk and explore Boston. The piers on the south side were 20 mins walk and the the start of the Freedom Trail was a 10 minute walk. The nearest subway station (Arlington) was 150 yards away and from there you can get around very easily to all the top attractions such as Fenway Park, Harvard University, North End, etc. You can either use the valet parking service or park in the big multi story car park across the street.

Upon arrival, the staff was exceptional. We pulled up to the front entrance and were greeted warmly and quickly. The gentleman informed us that the valet parking was on the other side of the building. When we reached the valet drop off area, that gentleman was also very friendly and helpful. The line at check-in was long, but it moved quickly. However, we would have waited in the wrong line had an airline pilot not pointed us to the correct line. Perhaps some signage to direct guests? I'm afraid the name of the Front Desk agent who checked us in escapes me, but he was super friendly and helpful. The proximity of the bar to the front desk was key to keeping us relaxed while awaiting our turn to check in!

I like a fairly cold room when I sleep and warmer during the day. Regulating temperature and having it cold enough is usually an issue with many hotels, but not the case here. Breakfast was a really nice and for the most part with great service. The hotel looked exactly as pictured and it is in a fantastic location. We were able to walk to everything we wanted to visit. We did have a Hop on Hop off tour which could be picked up a couple blocks from the hotel. It was raining the day of our Freedom Tour and the hotel loaned us one of their umbrellas. They also helped us with Taxis the day of our departure.

I booked this stay through bookings.com. It was not my intention (nor my need) to book a room that was handicap equipped. When I checked in and discovered this, I mentioned to the front desk that I did not need handicapped accessibility and that I could benefit from a room that had a work desk. I told them that I would happily change rooms if a disabled person needed such accommodation. The front desk staff confirmed that the booking indicated that it was a request for a handicapped room. They also confirmed that there was no other room available. In any event, the staff were helpful and pleasant.

We were happy to stay at the hotel. When I checked in, I asked for the highest room, and they upgraded the room for a small additional fee and upgraded it to the best view of the highest floor. I rested for 2 nights and 3 days. The transportation was good and all the tourist attractions were nearby, so We walked everywhere. The subway station is accessible because it takes 3 minutes by walk. The interior of the hotel was not old, It was modern and clean.
